The sands of time are unkind to photographs. Color is irreversibly lost,
and images turn various shades of red or blue. Old family photographs
deteriorate and become too fragile to handle. But there is something that can be done - photographs can be scanned and digitized. Once digitized, color, brightness, and contrast can be corrected. The original color is restored, and the new digital image can be saved, thus preventing further deterioration.
